Past Lives - EN subs

Past Lives was chosen as one of the best films of the year in 2023.
Although partly autobiographical, the film touches on a universal theme: what role do past loves play in our lives, and how did we become who we are? How do you explain the intimacy between people who haven’t seen each other in twenty-five years? The film is also a visually stunning portrait of Seoul and New York.

Celine Song (1989) lives and works in New York. Her plays have been praised for their understated dialogue, in which deep emotions are subtly conveyed.

Her latest film, Materialists, will be released  in June 2025 and screened at Flora.
