Scope on Screen!

Scope teams up with Flora Filmtheater on 22 September to launch Scope on Screen! In this
new initiative, makers within the region of Zuid-Holland are put in the spotlight to bring their
stories to the big screen. We invite The Hague’s community of film lovers to join for a night of
local cinema!

This autumn, Scope brings Zuid-Holland to the big screen. In collaboration with 8 cinemas
across the region, Scope on Screen presents a programme of short films made by locally-
based filmmakers. With this programme Scope takes the first step in showcasing the
abundance of talent that Zuid-Holland has to offer, with both established and developing
makers taking centre stage.

The programme is made up of 6 short films of diverse forms and themes, ranging from short
documentary, fiction, animation and experimental film. Running for around 80 minutes, the
screenings will be followed by Q&A’s with the filmmakers in each of the cinemas. This
programme travels across the region, screening in Den Haag, Gouda, Leiden, Delft, Alphen
aan de Rijn, Dordrecht, Rotterdam and Schiedam.
Films were selected by a selection committee of Scope’s partners, with representatives from
IFFR, Filmhuis Den Haag and New Producers Academy all helping curate the programme.

All 6 films are Dutch-language with English subtitles.

ambitious goals to better integrate and strengthen South Holland’s film infrastructure,
support creators in their professional development, and provide insight into the opportunities
