Cléo from 5 to 7 (1962) is the most well-known film in the oeuvre of Agnès Varda. The film is a highlight of the Nouvelle Vague and is considered one of the most important films by a female director.

In Cléo from 5 to 7, singer Cléo (Corinne Marchand) is convinced that she is ill. At 7 o’clock she has an appointment with her doctor. It is now 5 o’clock. Varda shows what happens in the meantime and how Cléo begins to look at life in a different way.

This feature film is one of four films being re-released in cinemas as part of the program The Gaze of Varda.
