The touching and true love story of Fleur and Julian (inspired by the book by Fleur Pierets) marks the feature film directorial debut of Belgian filmmaker Cato Kusters.

After a brief encounter at a concert, the two women quickly fall head over heels in love and begin making plans for the future. They want to marry each other, and an intriguing idea emerges. Would it be possible to say “I do” in every country where it’s allowed? Project 22, named after the number of countries where same-sex marriage was legal in 2017, soon took shape. After barely four ceremonies, their journey is abruptly interrupted and they are forced to unexpectedly abandon their plans.
