With Movies That Matter and Just Peace, Flora is screening the documentary Nice Ladies + aftertalk with director Mariia Ponomarova.

Nice Ladies is a heartwarming documentary that follows a cheerleading team in Ukraine, comprised of women over 50,, as they navigate the challenges and trauma of the war with Russia. It focuses on their friendship and the difficult choices they face as they grapple with the conflict's impact on their lives and their bond.

During the Just Peace Festival 2025, leading up to the NATO Summit, Movies that Matter is joining forces with PAARD, Flora Filmtheater, and Theater en Filmhuis Dakota for a specially curated film series titled NATO Film Week.

This series explores the complexity of war and the preservation of peace. Four completely different films, offering entirely different perspectives, come together to paint one telling picture of our times.
